Layoff Recovery Phase 2: Stabilizing After Losing Your Job

The shock fades faster than people think. Not because you suddenly feel better, but because your brain realizes it can’t stay in freefall forever. Stabilization isn’t graceful. It’s not peaceful. ABOUT ME

Welcome! I'm Elias (or maybe you know me by my middle name, Cade) Scherer: data security extraordinaire, parent of kids who are going to click every button, and someone who spends a lot of time making tech safer for both businesses and families.

This blog is split into two parts:

  1. Family safety for straightforward, non-technical guidance for keeping kids safe online

  2. Microsoft Purview for real-world guidance from the field

I built this to share what I know, what I've learned the hard way, and what I wish more people had access to, whether you're raising kids, securing a company, or both.
